Galvanized Cross Arm

Galvanized Cross Arm

Galvanized cross arm is made from Q235B angle steel with hot-dip galvanized surface. Common sizes include L50×5×1000 mm, L63×6×1800 mm, L75×6×1800 mm, and heavy-duty L80×8 or L90×8 lengths from 2000 mm to 2500 mm.

Description

Galvanized cross arm is used on power poles to carry insulators, cable fittings, and conductor support hardware. It fits low-voltage distribution lines, 10 kV overhead lines, and heavy-duty pole positions. The advantage is the finished galvanized section: cutting, hole punching, deburring, and hot-dip galvanizing are completed before shipment, so the pole crew can install the part without adding new bare holes.

Product Advantages

1) Galvanized cross arm has a zinc layer after all drilling work, which protects hole edges and end cuts.

2) The common L50, L63, and L75 angle sizes let the buyer match low-voltage and 10 kV pole hardware with clear specification data.

3) Length and hole layout are checked together, so the cross arm can match insulator spacing and pole band position.

Main Applications

Used for overhead power lines, distribution pole arms, insulator supports, and cable bridge cross supports.

Suitable for 0.4 kV and 10 kV pole line projects that need hot-dip galvanized steel.

Order Notes

For line projects, send the angle size, length, hole diameter, hole distance, and galvanizing requirement.

If the same order includes 1000 mm and 1800 mm arms, different bundle marks should be used during loading.

Packaging and Transport

Small parts are packed by set or by size label. Long sections are bundled with end protection and pallet marks.

When a shipment includes several close sizes, labels show diameter, length, thickness, or section code.

FAQ

Q: What zinc layer is used?

A: Hot-dip galvanizing is normally specified according to GB/T 13912, with zinc layer not less than 65 μm unless the drawing states another value.

Q: Can L63×6×1800 be supplied?

A: Yes. galvanized cross arm can be made in L63×6×1800 mm for common 10 kV pole lines.

Q: Are holes drilled before or after galvanizing?

A: Holes are made before galvanizing, because drilling after galvanizing would expose bare steel around the hole edge.
