Cross Arm Electrical Pole

Cross Arm Electrical Pole

Cross arm electrical pole is made from Q235B angle steel or Q355B for heavier pole work. Common specifications include L50×5×1000 mm, L63×6×1800 mm, L75×6×1800 mm, and 2000-2500 mm heavy-duty lengths.

Description

Cross arm electrical pole is used on low-voltage and 10 kV power lines to support insulators, conductors, and pole hardware. It is normally hot-dip galvanized according to outdoor utility requirements. The advantage is that the angle size, length, hole distance, and pole hardware position are made before galvanizing, which gives the installer a finished cross arm without drilling bare steel on the pole site.

Product Advantages

1) Cross arm electrical pole is produced after hole layout is confirmed, so insulator and brace positions match the utility drawing.

2) Hot-dip galvanizing is applied after cutting and drilling, which reduces exposed steel at hole edges.

3) Different line levels can use different angle sizes, such as L50×5 for 0.4 kV and L63×6 or L75×6 for 10 kV lines.

Main Applications

Used for low-voltage distribution lines, 10 kV overhead lines, pole mounted hardware, and cable support arms.

Suitable for new pole line work and replacement of old galvanized cross arms.

Production Process

Angle steel is cut to length, drilled or punched, deburred, hot-dip galvanized, and bundled by specification.

If the drawing has brace holes, the brace hole distance is checked together with the main line hole layout.

FAQ

Q: Which angle size is used for low-voltage lines?

A: L50×5 with 800 mm, 1000 mm, or 1200 mm length is commonly used for 0.4 kV pole line work.

Q: What size is used for 10 kV lines?

A: L63×6×1800 mm or L75×6×1800 mm is often used, but the final size should follow the line drawing.

Q: Can the holes be made before galvanizing?

A: Yes. cross arm electrical pole is cut and drilled before hot-dip galvanizing so the hole edges are coated.
