From a technical perspective, structural design and material selection are the core competitive advantages for transformer platform manufacturers. Modern companies commonly employ finite element analysis to calculate stress and deformation of the platforms, ensuring their safety under rated loads and extreme operating conditions.

Regarding materials, high-strength low-alloy steel (such as Q355B) is gradually replacing ordinary carbon steel, reducing weight while increasing load-bearing capacity. Meanwhile, hot-dip galvanizing has become an industry standard, with zinc layer thickness typically required to be at least 85 micrometers to cope with corrosive environments such as high salt spray in coastal areas and industrial pollution. Some leading companies have begun introducing weathering steel or aluminum alloy materials to further extend the product's life cycle and reduce operation and maintenance costs.
