Galvanized Screw Piles

Galvanized Screw Piles

Galvanized screw piles are made from Q235B or Q355B steel pipe with hot-dip galvanized surface. Common pipe diameters include φ76, φ89, φ102, φ114, φ140, φ168, and φ219 mm, with 3.0-6.0 mm wall thickness and 1.5-3.0 m length.

Description

Galvanized screw piles are used as no-concrete foundations for ground photovoltaic supports, carports, fences, and light steel structures. The pile body has helical blades welded to the steel pipe, and the top can be a flange or open pipe connection. The advantage is quick foundation installation: pipe diameter, wall thickness, blade size, and top flange holes can be matched to soil and bracket load before driving the pile into the ground.

Product Advantages

1) Galvanized screw piles remove concrete curing time, so the support structure can be installed after pile position and torque are checked.

2) Different pipe diameters carry different loads: φ76 suits small projects, while φ114 and larger sizes are used for ground stations and high wind areas.

3) Hot-dip galvanizing covers the pipe and blade surface for buried and exposed conditions.

Main Applications

Used for ground PV plants, farm PV, carports, fences, temporary buildings, and light steel foundation work.

Suitable for sites where concrete foundations are slow or difficult to build.

Installation Notes

Soil condition should be checked before selecting diameter, wall thickness, and blade size.

During installation, pile verticality and driving torque should be recorded when the project requires foundation acceptance data.

FAQ

Q: Which diameter is common for PV ground stations?

A: φ89, φ102, and φ114 are common. Larger φ140, φ168, or φ219 piles are used for high wind, soft soil, or heavy-duty rows.

Q: Can flange tops be supplied?

A: Yes. galvanized screw piles can use 150×150 or 200×200 mm flange plates with M16 or M20 holes.

Q: What surface is used underground?

A: Hot-dip galvanizing is used, with zinc layer usually specified at not less than 65 μm or 85 μm by project.
