There are four main types of anchor bolts: fixed, movable, expansion anchor, and adhesive anchor. Each type has its unique characteristics and application scenarios, and the choice must be made based on specific needs and conditions.

Fixed Anchor Bolts

Fixed anchor bolts are the most common type. Their characteristic is that the bolt is cast directly into the foundation concrete, providing high load-bearing capacity and stability. They are suitable for applications requiring high connection strength and stability, such as heavy machinery and bridges. However, due to the need for concrete pouring, the installation process is relatively complex and disassembly is not easy.

Movable Anchor Bolts

Movable anchor bolts offer greater flexibility compared to fixed anchor bolts. They connect the equipment to the foundation by welding or bolting to reinforcing bars in pre-drilled holes. Movable anchor bolts facilitate equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance, and are suitable for applications requiring high connection strength but frequent disassembly, such as some production equipment and testing platforms.

Expansion Anchor Bolts

Expansion anchor bolts utilize the wedge-shaped inclination within the expansion tube to generate expansion force, creating friction with the foundation hole wall to achieve connection. This type of anchor bolt is simple and quick to install, and has lower requirements for the foundation concrete. However, expansion anchor bolts have relatively low load-bearing capacity and stability, making them suitable for applications with light loads and minimal vibration.

Adhesive Anchor Bolts

Adhesive anchor bolts use a special adhesive to bond the bolt to the foundation concrete, offering high connection strength and good vibration resistance. Furthermore, the installation process for adhesive anchor bolts eliminates the need for concrete pouring, significantly shortening the installation cycle. However, the quality of the adhesive has a decisive impact on the connection effect; therefore, it is essential to select a reliable adhesive and strictly follow the operating procedures during construction.
